In Crash Mode - Navigating Price Action
Rapid Moves Breaking Supports - S/R Levels for Apr 7 - 11
It's wild to see this decline unfold so quickly. Looking back, I shared warnings across several publications beforehand, backed by Elliot Wave, Fibonacci studies, long-term charts, moving averages, crossovers, and macro data – the pullback felt imminent from many angles since I like to provide objective data and analysis. What's surprising is just how fast it's happening.
Today, I want to chat about the human side of investing. Our emotions can really cloud our judgment of those technical signals. For those newer to the market (maybe joining in '23 or '24), outside opinions can be really influential, making it tough to focus on the charts. For more seasoned folks, the hope around the new U.S. administration might have made this "self-inflicted" crash unexpected. And for everyone, the sheer speed of this move has made it hard to react.
The good news? Bear markets bring opportunities, both for the long haul and for navigating the dips and bounces. While this move feels almost straight down right now (and might continue), past crashes have offered chances to maneuver.
So, how long could this last? Time is crucial. Since premium subscribers know my minimum expectations for this bear market (reminder below!), let's dive into analyzing timeframes in bear markets.
I have to tell you something, I have learned more in bear markets than in bull markets, and these series of publications make all sense today, back in February they may have sounded too pessimistic or unpopular, today they make a lot of sense. Get access here:
Navigating the Market's Tides: The Power of Elliott Wave Analysis
Navigating Market Crossroads: A Technical Study of Historical Corrections
Bearish Crossover and Divergence Analysis: Market-Wide Implications
Those five publications alone are worth the subscription, they will teach you much more than a book.
